Our Purpose

Franklin County Crime Solvers pays for the information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of a crime and for the arrest of wanted persons. Anonymity is assured; you do NOT need to give your name.

How Crime Solvers Works

We request tipsters call the Crime Solvers Tip Line (717 263-3000) or use the internet (see Submit a TIP on the header bar above) and provide details of a crime. A caller will be provided a code to use for following up on the tip - the caller does NOT have to provide his or her name. If information provided by the individual results in an arrest the person who provided the information may contact the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Solvers Coordinator at 717-264-5161, Ext. 107, providing his or her assigned code to inquire about a potential reward.

We understand that most people do not want to get involved with reporting crimes because they are afraid of retaliation or having their names published. Use of the special code given to callers, or on-line tipsters, instead of using their names ensures anonymity.
